I love this message of defiance toward all the junk that happens in life. Your determination comes thru loud & clear. This is what many lost souls need to hear . . . that it's possible to forge ahead, even if you're not sure where things are going. We can plug into spiritual guidance without needing to process the messages thru our intellect (often a distraction). I love this. It's a very intelligent message (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Oh yeah . . . line 4 ("in your life"): I think it would be better to stick with first person, as in the rest of your poem.
You are being tested my dear
Temptations abound - I hear
Fight the good fight - As they say
Quitting is not for you - you are meant to stay
Have a happy life
In spite of strife
Resolute. No ambiguity here.
My grandma passed when I was in early grade school. However, She had a way of explaining things in such a way that it stuck with me for life.
On Understanding God:
He is the best friend you will ever have. He loves you more than you love yourself. He will always do what is best for you. If you remember this, you will understand his words.
In agape, blessings to you sette.
I am not a religious person, and usually don't comment on cerain pieces, as its a bit like asking the least experienced person his or her opinion. But I decided to, because what I read is actually a positive, if you look at it from the angle of, despite being in a quandary, it shows that you have more than one choice, which should be a good position for you to begin at. The more possibilities you have, the more that one will show its favour as your true path. So its all good really, just have to wait and see where it fi na lly leads you.
gotta love the wisdom in your poem ...very successful people have said a same thing about success ... its not that they didn't fail ...but that they didn't quit ;) i notice you switch from 1st person speaker to third person in L1 of the first couplet ... maybe consider changing "your" to "my" ;)
hearing God's voice is not an easy task no matter who the seeker is .. its fraught with our own imperfections, fears, selfishness and ego ... funny ... i imagine in the end we may all be very surprised and grateful it is a very simple thing ... if we are only willing to let go :)
