I like how you express this life philosophy in a very clear way. Many good details to show us how you see this journey called life -- which one's succeed & which one's don't. I'm afraid I don't agree with your message, tho. I don't agree with measuring a life according to who "wins" or "loses" . . . there are many kinds of "wins" that are unrecognizable for people expecting "win" to mean something else. Also I don't feel that any person holds everything required for success. Life crushes people all the time & it's not within their control at all. But the way you express this point of view, I get this type of discrimination from successful people all the time, so it's a very realistic message for some people (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Agree ako diyan, minsan unpredictable.pero kung may tiwala tayo na kaya natin, kaya natin lalo na hindi naman tayo nagiisa sa laban.Yolo kaya live to the fullest.
It does indeed depend on one's outlook. In most cases, attitude is the deciding factor, despite what circumstances indicate. Even if a certain goal is not accomplished, one with the right attitude has a better chance of succeeding elsewhere. As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.
PS: Considering preceding the first line with "Some say." As it stands now, you have the second verse contradicting the first.
Life is short, for some people very short. Therefore each day counts and we should make the most of our opportunities. I'm a firm believer in we are in charge of our own destiny. Lovely thoughtful lines sette.

I tell people. We decide our journey.
"It depends on the
Person himself."
I agree my friend with your logic and thoughts. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I love your poem Sette. The search for life's beauty is so worth finding. It is there for all of us, but most of us do not know that it is there, so they live in a trivial world. I enjoyed the read, my friend...peter
