Friends are really

God’s gift to us,

I am full of woes now,

But they make it light for me.

 

A simple thought,

A prayer said,

A short text message

And an email

 

They do wonders

To uplift my soul,

To make me smile again.

 

They inspire me

To look forward to new beginnings

To have hope

That everything will just pass.

I don’t need a bunch of heavy expectations & doing stuff together constantly, etc. Your description of friendship in this beautifully simple & expressive poem is light-handed & perfect for an independent person like me. Hi Sette I like your poem. I would love to see you find some real happiness. You know within all of us there is a breath of joy, and when we have found it, it will accompany you until forever. I find now that even when anger or suffering comes to me. I can feel below the surface the joy that is there.
