grease

grease

A Poem by sette

To watch Grease again

Via the net,

Brings back the music

Of the 70s

Tears on my pillow,

Love is a many splendored thing

And hopelessly devoted to you

Were songs that had been

Part of the soundtrack,

Reprised and revived

Countless times.

Travolta’s cleft chin,

His dance moves,

The rock and roll music

And his debonair looks.

The bubbly Olivia newton john,

Playing the role of sandy,

The all American cheerleader

With her curly blond hair

The days wherein

Everything was simple

Thinking of the prom night

To be with the one you like,

To bring back the adolescent years,

Wherein you feel that life

Has so much to offer,

Let the adventure starts.

While watching the movie,

I thought about Grease

Forty years later,

The main actors are already  in golden years.

Has life been so good

So far?
