dear daddy

A Story by sette
"

for my dad

"

Dear daddy,

You know that I love you so much. You know that you are my greatest ally, my confidante and most of all the strictest dad in the world, you kept me grounded, sane and most of all tough to face the cruelties of the world.

You gave me everything I wanted in life; love, trust, and affection. You will always be the wind beneath my wings.

I know you are misunderstood by many because of your rigid ways but then they don’t know you that well and I think they don’t like to know you.

Despite the strictness, the rigid rules and the lengthy sermons, I will never be the courageous person I am now without those lessons. I will not forget those teachings because they made me what I am now.

Thank you for everything Daddy. Happy Father’s Day

                                  Love and respect,

                                     Tata

Nice, I am envious as I never had any great father figures. All of them were abusive and pedophiles.

sorry to hear about that my friend but continue to be a good father to the twins
awwwww those are words every dad longs to hear from their children ..well said ...taking parental advice at an early age is very wise says i and not many teens do....but even among the most rebellious teens, most grow up and learn the values "strict" parenting bring ... bet your daddy was touched beyond measure with your poem ...i sure loved reading it

he is not a sentimental person KC but then he knows how i love him and that is what is important
I agree that the most important task for any parent is to help his/her child grow up to have a reasonable chance at success. This may involve tough lessons, but each one is a gift. This is one of the most sane & down-to-earth father's day tributes I've ever read. I love it when love is portrayed honestly. All lives have beautiful & ugly parts. This is a well-balanced & honorable tribute (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
