victory

victory

A Poem by sette

after a day of musing,
after a few hours of pacing back and forth,
after a few minutes of sobbing,
the tears had just stopped,
the sadness dissolved,
i was hurt,
I was devastated
i was disappointed.
but then,
there is still an ounce of courage
left in my heart,
to deal with reality,
to deal with truth.
revenge will never be the answer
to stop the pain,
the only thing needed
is to move on from the hurt,
eventually lady luck will snile
and victory will be in my hands.

When you are on your knees, it is so much easier to fall to the ground. It takes strength and courage to get up and move on. It sounds so simple that you would think we would have learned this by now, but we don't do that well at taking advice, do we? It is the realisation that what is now in the past is there for a reason, and that if it wasn't meant to be, then the best you will get from it is some sad and heartfelt poetry from it.
Perhaps with the words written, it will now be a little easier in letting them go. Well penned my friend.

that is so true my friend thanks for that

look at the last word on the 2nd to last line.
It does happen and always will... best to forget about revenge, it will only eat at you and if you ever did get it, you would probably beat yourself up and feel so guilty later.... Cheer up chuck... N

It is always a pleasure..... N
oh yes, revenge is snot always as sweet as people think it will be; the bigger person just moves on and puts hurt behind them...thus becoming the victor.
