healing

Time heal all wounds,

Finally  I am truly healed,

I can say I remember

All those good memories

It was a seven years relationship,

We have all the love we’ve shared.

 

Time to go on with my life,

I forgive you wholeheartedly,

For every pain hurled at me,

I simply want to forget.

 

Thank you for the love shared,

For the wonderful memories,

For being my life for seven years,

For just being there for me,

For just being you.

 

Time for you to go on

With your life,

Hopefully you will find

The person who will love you more.

 

This is the moment,

Where there is no shred of

Bitterness and anxiety,

But just to go on with our lives,

And perhaps one day can be friends.

Well wishes is only something we hope for during the summation and ultimate ending of a relationship. To part cordially with one another is ideal, though never truly achieved nowadays. I have experience an ending recently myself of a long time relationship. Though difficult at first, we first must find our own healing process. Healing doesn't happen the same way for everyone. Tearing others down shouldn't be a part of that process, neither. Recognition and understanding are crucial moments in the long recovery process for healing. This piece was very understanding and emphasized all of this. Great read.

Its a bit of release of burden when we finally get to that point after a relationship, especially one that is good for many years. Remembering the good and the fact that change is an unstoppable force helps to make it so that we can move on ourselves. This is heartening and hopeful. Loved it.
