A Poem by sette

How many times have I hurt you?
How many times have I made you smile"
We have the most unforgettable love,
created by our own immaturity
and pride.
I cannot count the times I have hurt you,
neither can I count the times I have made you smile.
the toes on my feet, and fingers in my hands are not enough
to count the times I have hurt and made you smile.
The relationship has been chaotic right from the start,
We were the best and the worst for each other.
But God knows,
we did love too much
that's why we were also hurt too much.
At this point,
I am still in the process of moving on,
that maybe time will be at my side,
to finally get on with my life completely.

I can relate to this and I am sorry you have to go through this, it is very hard to get over someone and move on, but trust me, you will. It just takes time! There is no way of knowing how long it will take, but it will get easier!

i really hope so donna thanks for the kind words.
sometimes the hurting and fighting makes you stronger. someone said that to me recently, someone very special and I thought I had lost him. but sometimes you need the pain as much as the smiles, to grow
within reason of course... pain and hurt is normal, abuse is not

Losing someone is a good time to Find Yourself - maybe for the first time.
Once you do, you'll be irresistible, of course - maybe you've found yourself.
But this does not sound like one who's found.
Try going in - everything is inside you - Everything!

This was really well written. It emanates feelings of loss and regret in a relationship, while also acknowledging happier times. Your words tell of experience and you're able to get your feelings across excellently. Great job!

thanks jeremy for the kind review. looking forward to part 2 of your story
So many try to move on while they're actually quite immobilized.
Eventually--hopefully--real movement occurs.
A poem well conveyed!

i have great faith in you.. and your future happiness in love..
interesting write,
perhaps you did love to much, or was it just lust. Either way, as in all life a balance must be maintained. See beyond what you think you feel to know it's truth.
