happy endings?

I am too old for fairy tales,

What I know now

witches are real

they exist.

 

I know now,

There will never be

Happy endings in life.

There is no perfect happiness.

 

But just like the princesses,

Aurora, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella

And even Mulan and Pochahontas,

I was also treated like a princess.

 

There was also a Prince Charming,

In the past,

But now I realized

Only witches exist.

Happily ever after only exist in books n poems as we say... real life is different... even if the frog turns to Prince... the Prince turns to be more trouble than the frog..then we wish ...shouldn't have kissed the frog ;))

So few princes, so many frogs. Do we ever quite recover when we find out monsters are not only real, but look just like us?
Yet onward we go, with hope...hopefully.

Being life always goes on and we're always meeting new people, I don't know that I believe in happy endings.

As for this poem, I can see the sadness and discouragement in your words. People aren't always what we would like them to be. In fact, some are awful. But I believe there are good people out there too. Many are on this site. Including you. :)
