forgiveness

To err is human

to forgive is divine

as the saying goes.

How hard it is for me

to let go of the pain.

to learn to forgive.

As the years pass by.

I am still gaining the strength

to forgive and let go.

Happiness is an elusive thing

because there is still pain,

the hurt is there to stay.

Wishing that one day.

the hurt will just go away

forgiveness is on the way.

Sometimes it can seem that love is a vicious cycle, where you have to find it, to forget previous pain. If it goes wrong, it becomes the current pain and can only be forgotten by getting more. Heartfelt words, very well captured.
