the sleeping dragon

the sleeping dragon

A Poem by sette

The first time China was invaded

Not by a dynasty where first borns are sons

But rather by grandpa-grandson tandem

Named Genghis and Kublai Khan.

Gone were the Civil Magistrates,

Replaced by Emperor’s new rules.

China, the sleeping dragon

Is now yawning again.

Ready to sleep

Not prepared for changes.

Confucian teachings

Became a memory.

Khans want people

To be warriors.

War? Why?

For power? For territory?

Wake up, sleeping dragon,

Defend your territory,

Defend your land.

oh that is one thing that i keep wishing for my friend
Neville

keep wishing.. who knows what might happen...
too many leaders feel the need for wars...we don't need that...we need peace, we need togetherness---
coexistence.
