You came into my life unexpectedly,

A cliche right?

I am not lucky 

where relationships are concerned;

God gave me a weak heart

to fall in love so easily

and get hurt easily.

With you, 

I can feel the sincerity,

the warmth of your embrace

and those insane kisses,

are simply unforgettable.

Friendship with you is a bliss,

a relationship is another matter.

I don't want to commit a mortal sin,

loving you is already a sin

but what can I do?

I know I want you,

but I cannot have you.

I have to let you go

before it hurts me more.

really like the brutal honesty in this poem...the free verse flows easily ..and the creative tension builds to the closing lines ... the release felt in a difficult, but best, decision made ..so universal my friend ..we are attracted in spite of what our mind tells us ...in the heat all reason is swept away ... and we sin ... oh how we sin .. over and over :( i recently read that guilt occurs as result of an injury to the soul .. and the soul recognizing it ... not a bad thing .. a very good thing as it tells us our soul is alive ... being convinced of our sin ... we can move on .. start over .. and accept God's miraculous forgiveness .. onward we go right?! ;) nice read for me!
