Lie to me.

Lie to me.

A Poem by BlakeL79

Lie to me.

Don't give me the truth, just tell me what I want to hear.
You think I think on you enough to care?

Just lie to me. Tell me I'm the best.
Just lie to me. Make it feel like bliss.
Just lie to me. Tell me there is no other.

Do you want to hear what I have to say,
or will you just interpret your own way?

You don't want my truth, because then you can't hide,
it's not right side, your side, my side.

Just lie there. I'll take exactly what I need.
Just lie there. I only care about my greed.
Just lie there. I've already got what I want.

Do I make it happen, do I make it right?
Does this make you wither when I shine my light?

Don't make this harder on yourself, you know I already know.
It's not that I want you to leave, it's just time for you to go.

Just tell me what I want to hear.
As if I think on you enough to care.

Pretend that we're together, pretend you have my heart.
I'll let you sit and play with it, as I've laughed at you from the start.

Stroke my ego baby, make me big and tall.
Stroke my ego baby, come and take it all.
Stroke my ego baby, because you know it feels good.

Just lie to me - the truth and I were never friends to begin with.

The truth wouldn't matter at all. For her to tell you that she loves you or cares deeply for you would probably make you feel better for not caring for her. If she tells you these things, it would seem like you weren't using her because she wouldn't say nice things if she didn't think you cared. I will probably get a different interpretation the next time I read it. Enjoyed this!!!!
