Right the first time?

Right the first time?

A Poem by BlakeL79

Down with the sinners, down with the saints,
the Lord has learned from his mistakes.
Fire purged and shadows cast,
no one spared even at the last.
Kicked out of heaven, there is no hell.
this has been the final knell.
No more angels, no more riposte,
even the end for the Holy Ghost.
It’s as if the Lord one day,
just up and left and walked away.
Perhaps this time I’ll start again,
with all I learned in the end.
Some by choice, some by design.
all evolved in due time.
I’ll do it right, this time you’ll see,
everyone living harmoniously.
No more suffering, no more pain,
even though there will be no gain.
No risk and no reward,
let's just hope they don't all get bored.
I didn’t choose, but I think I lost,
I tried too hard and forgot the cost.
Right or wrong I just can’t win,
perhaps next time they won't know sin.

Dear reader, please do not take this as myself passing any judgement on Christianity. It was just an interesting thought to write and I used Christian themes. Thank you and enjoy.

This is very creative, and I can honestly say I never envisioned God in that situation:

"It's as if the Lord one day,
just up and left and walked away."

Oh, the mayhem that would ensue! A very original piece here, Blake. Great job!

Why did Adam eat that damn apple! No judgement taken on this theme. Actually this poem gave an insight on what it would be like in different circumstances if God just through up his hands. I have never read a poem like this!
