Stubborn SoreA Poem by Lea Jane
This silly little blister, Perched upon my toe. How long until it leaves me? I simply do not know. The agony it’s caused As I stumble when I walk. My shoe rubs up against it, I curse each time I talk. The band-aids have done nothing, The medicine simply stings. I’m sick of the burning pain, And the annoyance that it brings. When I thought all hope was lost, The skin is beginning to heal. Now I must be careful, So as not to make it peel. At last the stubborn sore Has shrunk to minute scale. Before I even had time to smile, I found I have a hangnail. © 2008 Lea JaneReviews
