Underwater

Underwater

A Poem by Ani milburn

I'm right below the surface,a thin layer of ice. Sunbeams shoot past my head. My air bubbles float up to the surface, trapped. The sun is leaving, the bubbles are leaving, everything is leaving. Now I sit in darkness, waiting for them to come back again.

A lot of emotion in such a short, yet powerful read. You really do capture the beautiful, even when the subject isn't so beautiful. There is a softness to your words, which read like a soft sigh, when most writing on the subject would follow a darker and angrier path.
Impressive words.

I really like this. Its dark of course, but there are so many different sonorous were this would apply. Emotional struggle or feeling trapped; I think you have a great writing career in head of you.
