Trashed, Lost, and Strungout

Trashed, Lost, and Strungout

A Poem by The Everyday Surprises of Having a Family
"

this is about getting torn apart by the one i love and how wen it happened i felt trashed, lost, and strungout

"

Being loved or cared about

Who needs that?

Belomging....

Who wants to get close topeople in this world?

When the person you care about the most

Acts like your nothing

And hurts you so deep your heart breaks

Nothing matters

When all you can feel is

Red, hot pain consuming the empty space

Of your heart like flames

Nothing matters

Being torn apart by the one you love

Makes you wonder how he's so callous

To you

When you never asked for his love in return

Can you see this?

I wore it on my wrist

He was everything I wanted

And what I always missed

As I cry I plead

To just forget about him

But every tear whispers

His lies to me all over again

I broke apart

When the hate and love

That beat side by side

In my heart, Exploded

I broke apart

When his words

Dragged me over a bed of razors

And I bled out

I think it's good. A wounded animal sees only its own pain--you captured that pain really well here. My heart bleeds for you . . . sounds like the guy in this piece was a blind jerk.

Men like to manipulate and mess with your emotions. Especially teenage boys because from watching TV and movies....its the only time they can feel like movie stars.

Anyways aside from that. this poem had a great flow and rhythm. Nothing needs to change just leave as is. :)

good write. you took the time to spell things out properly, it shows more dedication and seriousness; images are fairly fresh and strong and vivid; wording is good and simple and real and raw; the pain is very tangible; good stuff!

relationships that end in cold rejection are the worst :(
