Too good to be trueA Poem by RosemaryThis is a poem I wrote about thinking you found the one, then turns out not to be because of certain circumstances. That's what you were, but it wasn't your fault. It was out of our hands a long time ago.
Sometimes it killed me to know that every smile and twinkle of your eyes could make the darkest of days seem like sunshine.
But I know better now.
I wasn't meant to bring you the happiness you truly deserved.
I will still take your hand for the last dance. I will still sit with you to watch the sunset.
But I can never be with you because you were too good to be true. © 2008 RosemaryAuthor's Note
