wish it were me

wish it were me

A Poem by Jamie-Lynn
"

How can you say you love her when you're wishing she were me?

"

When you're not sleeping at half past three.

When you're wishing the guilt would leave you be.

When you lie with her, wide awake.

When your eyes don't glow and your smile's fake.

Just hold your lover and wish she were me.

When your heart's locked up, but you say you're free.

When you say your ok, but your heart won't agree.

When even together you feel all alone.

When you force her name when you give that moan.

Just kiss your lover and wish she were me.

When every day is mearly a blur.

When you think it's right, but can't be sure.

When you give long stares she doesn't see,

and we both know that you're missing me.

Do you still insist you're in love with her?

When you no longer think she came form above.

When she isn't the one you're thinking of.

When it's me on your mind,

you search for words you can't find.

Are you really in love?
