Lover's Lullaby

Lover's Lullaby

A Poem by Jamie-Lynn
"

Sing me to sleep, Luv...

"

Rest now for me, Darling,

I will still be here in the morn.

Close your eyes and sleep, my Darling,

for you are weak and worn.

Lover, sleep in peace tonight,

wrapped up in my arms.

Lover, lay down your weary head,

and I will protect you from all harm.

Please sleep now, Angel-mine,

I fear your heart may start to bleed.

Relax your body, Angel,

while I give the warmth you need.

Precious, let my heart beat be your lullaby,

please let the dreams finally start.

Precious, I'll be there to hold you together,

when you start to fall apart.

~~~ It's rather bittersweet, but very heartfelt. I really liked it! especially the ending, i think it tied the piece together nicely. (:
