Elaiya

Elaiya

A Poem by Jamie-Lynn
"

No idea where this came from, probably lack of sleep.

"

Elaiya, born of darkness.

The angel from a nightmare.

Twisted in soul and mind,

but a dark beauty so rare.

Black hair, woven of silk,

glimmering eyes of jade.

Perfect lips pulled in a smirk,

and a glow that will not fade.

Elaiya, born of darkness.

The angel from the night.

She chills you to the bone,

then fills the mind with frieght.

In her eyes, do you see fear?

Or do you see a thrill?

This angel born from darkness,

and made of broken will.

Elaiya, born of darkness.

The angel from hell.

She always made herself known,

though was never known well.

Amid the chaos she created,

she sits upon her thrown.

And I admit, I wonder,

is she afraid to be alone.

A very good story. I like the feel and description of the poem. I like the main character.
"In her eyes, do you see fear?
Or do you see a thrill?"
No weakness in this poem. A outstanding poem.
