A Poem by Belle

I want time to notice the Foot of Mayon
and say my own prayers for them.
I want more time to walk up the hills and mountains
and make some sort of stories.
I want to make a nipa house and make a garden and read books
in a cradle -ropes tied in guava trees.
I want to fall asleep to the song of a stream and dream
 of bathing in Nile River.
I want to wake up to the call
of a rooster under the custody of a mango tree.
I want some time to sit and write and
scream in silence.

Ah, it is very hard not to want some things.
What more not to want someone.

This is haunting and beautiful. It sets a nostalgic and dreamy mood where happiness is only a few wishes away. Delightfully written, I enjoyed.

Hey. Thank you, and good seeing you, too.
and all of these things to do, mean so much more with someone to share them with...
