When all of them leave
And the lights turned off
That's when he comes back
And seeps back into my soul
Saps my energy
Pollutes my thoughts
Absorbs my feelings
And then

Oh I long for
Is pain
Familiar, comfortable pain
There was a time when I was scared of him
But now

He is the only one
Who knows me
Understands me
Talks to me
Spends time with me
He promised he'll be there
When all others leave
Till the day
The heat from my body fades away
He is my reflection
My shadow
My past
He's me
Except he's not
