Owl On Forest Path

Owl On Forest Path

A Poem by Black Cat Fever

Small fluffy owl on the forest path
I find you there like someone who waits
I wonder if I should pick you up
It's as if your wings won't let you escape

I do pick you up and hold you close
You are one of my owls I know
I will take you home and fix you up
To you kindness I will only show

Little owl who isn't so very little
You look at me with trusting eyes
I have fed you and pet you before
I'm your friend you realize

The wild forest is your home
And that is where you will return
On your time and when you wish
That is the best way long ago I did learn

The last line on two read does not flow well for me, but I have no suggestion. Beautiful piece from a person with a good heart. Well done.
