Columbia RiverA Poem by Black Cat FeverVista House at Crown Point overlooking the Columbia River.
The Columbia River a rippling silky ribbon that runs for miles and miles rushing to the Pacific Ocean from dried hot desert landscapes through lush green forests through fertile farm country and the Willamette valley vineyards to come roaring wildly joining the Pacific Ocean where seagulls perpetually wing in the salty wet ocean air their plaintive cries forever echoing The Vista House on Crown Point overlooking the Columbia River. Stonehenge overlooking the Columbia River. high on a cliff top Stonehenge* stands watching since the turn of the 20th Century overlooking the Columbia River This mysterious circle of stones stands in honor of the fallen Washington State World War 1 veterans* even so they glimmer and glow ever mystical and mysterious in the moonlight Stonehenge on the Washington State side of the Columbia River. The River cutting through the Columbia Gorge gazing down from the Vista House** or high up on the top of Multnomah Falls** who dares spread their wings and fly from such lofty peaks? Multnomah Falls on the Oregon Side of the Columbia River. Dreaming the dreams of Lewis and Clark and those on the Oregon Trail - Go West Young Man! Ride the rapids and waves from the dried country to the vast Pacific Ocean the mighty and grand Columbia River waiting, forever waiting as history is constantly being made Multnomah Falls on the Oregon Side of the Columbia River.
Stonehenge overlooking the Columbia River. *One of the many fabulous structures made possible by Sam Hill which is on the Washington State side of the Columbia River.
**The Vista House on Crown Point and Multnomah Falls are on the Oregon side of the Columbia River.
