beneath a full moon with a blue ring circling it an owl whoots echoing across a dark winter forest from high in the Douglas Fir trees another owl responds mist curls around the tree trunks drifting across the forest floor freezing droplets of moisture one owl unfurls her wings setting sail through the forest her call reaching ever skyward in a cold frosted night where only moments ago silence was heard © 2012 Black Cat FeverFeatured Review
