Metonymy

Metonymy

A Poem by blackbelief

“Snip, snap”, I hear the scissors go,
the locks fall right before me.
In the months that preceded,
It grew longer than usual.
And may be not as much,
but I grew older than what is my age.
I do care for what is past,
In fact, I let it stay for so long,
it left on its own.
‘We only grow if we allow ourselves to grow.’
Well, while I am stuck here
searching for another quote to reference,
I do hope wisdom is my metonymy.
