Teach me how you fly

Teach me how you fly

A Poem by blackbelief

You have all these words to tell me
but you have always faded away
and your silhouette against the sky
has never waved back
Sometimes I hear you calling in strange hours
but your words are ghost-written
and they vanish before I can make sense of them
Often I have felt
the heaviness of your absence
reality seems to take control
its dullness ominous of itself
I have been trapped too many times before
sucked inside the monotone
until I forgot existence
has a purpose, it matters
and your ghost-written words
have saved me every time;
even when I can't seem to understand them
This time when you call
in another strange hour
I need you to come here
and teach me how you fly

I think the speaker here is talking to some deity or spiritual being. The person seems to be a spiritual seeker, but the quest appears to have gone unrewarded thus far. There does not seem to be an intent to give it up, but the tone has a pleading quality to it. I sincerely hope the prayer is answered soon.
