Power of SilenceA Poem by blackbeliefI was always the silent kid. Listening is a qualitative quantity. It matters how much of what you hear. I heard it all. They said I wasn't mature enough to face the world. So I kept listening, without uttering. Walking ahead and paying heed only when i was told to. Silence is golden. Silence is the music of life. 's what makes you frivolous. And Innocence, they say, is life's greatest lie. War happens everyday. Verbal debates and petty quarrels. I am old enough they tell me, " grab onto your shield and go out there". But I don't need the shield now. I can fire a thousand arrows. Words laced with the fire of what I gathered; Over long times of quiescence. And I have heard it all.
