NightmareA Poem by Hush HushIn the Dreamland, I saw, I heard, I felt, Hands reaching from the Steep End, From the deepless, They came, Towards my body, They crawled, Morbid, crippled, veined, sawed, The ground shook under their rhytmic pulse, The Reaper cackled as he played his violin, Playing the tune, They finally reached my head, Smothered, gagged, gauged, They had me, My vision 360°, Spun under the motion from the Damned, I safely awoke to a beeping sound. To realize ‘twas just a bad dream,
Except
for the purple fingerprints my body bore,
The lone whisper fleeted through the room, See you
tonight too. © 2011 Hush HushAuthor's Note
