Self Image

I like wearing red and green,

My hair is cropped 

Sheen sheen

I'm not flawless,

But I do like some bits of myself,

People tell me I'm lazy,

Tough luck I just wanna be who I am,

To dream and draw and write,

I want to learn how to talk with the tides,

I don't want to fit in with the crowds,

Another blank face as I carry on with my life,

Even though I try different smiles,

In the end I am my own individual self,

We all are, that's just how it is.

The manga girl on this picture is actually me, and yes, I actually do have a haircut like that :D

I really love it! It definitely relates to me and I just think it's a snazzy poem (: Well-written and I like how you said that everyone is their own indiviual self. It's so true, but yet it's sad how some people want to go with the flow and be who they're not. Great poem.

This is what everybody should do. We should do what pleases us, not what other people want us to do. If we are happy with the way we are, no one can tell us to be otherwise .. in this case, that person does not really want to see us happy.
