White children of the Skies

White children of the Skies

A Poem by Hush Hush

Over the night,
When our breathing
Relaxed,
White children floated
Down from the skies,
With their little selves
They covered up the ground,
Till whole London
Was covered with their glee.
Everything came to standstill
The buses
The trains
And the tube,
The streets void of adults
Filled with snow fights
Knights of ice
Became shields
With their black
Peebled eyes
And their carrot noses,
The wars were fought
Some lost,
Some won,
But in the end
the Time

Had Unfrozen,
The white children said
goodnight,
But the next day
When everone came out to play
They were gone
Too bad they didn't stay...
