because I love you

because I love you

A Poem by Willia Blakes
"

I believed I loved him. I believed he loved me. But something wasn't quite right.

"

I did not know what love was until I met him

It was not until I felt him caress my skin

He captured my heart

And locked me away

Because I love you, he said

I love you too, I said

I did not understand why I could not see my family

Why he kept me in my room

And the curtains closed

Because I love you, he said

I love you too, I said

I did not realize the quality of life being denied to me

That it was okay for me to have dreams

Even if they took me far away

Because I love you, he said

I love you too, I said

Until.

I gathered my courage

I parted my curtains

I gazed into the sunlight and

I saw him

I love you too, I said

And shut the curtains

I did not realized the quality of life being denied to me

Why he kept me in my room

And locked me away

Because I love you, he said

I---

I parted my curtains

I gazed into the sunlight

I cried for help

This is so strong and the impact is so hard, such emotions are something needed to be projected through a writing . Great work, you're good with words. Wish it could be have been longer and elaborated, anyways it was lovely to read such a good writing :)

cheers.
