Why I avoid flavored coffee

Why I avoid flavored coffee

A Poem by Ben Ther
"

A funny, existential take on the silly incriptions that describe coffee flavors.

"

Morning booze

Two brews

To choose

Hazel

Takes it run of the mill warmer

Lives around the corner

Of her coffee club card free punch

Once-a-month winner

In no change today town

Balanced, economy grounds

Hanging on to the milk

Jamaica

Takes it black as island magic

Adds the Cajun drums

Makin’ me crazy, Mon!

Runnin’ Monday to sun

Day to rejoice in shadowy light, but bold

But bright - but three little birds

Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit - stir

Which naturally

Begs the question

Who am I?

Which leads to, then,

Why am I here?

How did it all begin?

And to top it off

Why do I have to make

This Sophie's Choice on a day
Like today is??

(Next, a full-bodied identity crisis)

TWO NINETY-SIX???

“One.  Small.  Regular.  Please.”

Well you made me laugh, and for once not at how atrociously bad the poem is. I can't really say much more than that, only that I feel unqualified as I hate coffee.
