Trouble

Trouble

A Poem by Drako

it seems that the old saying holds true
when you go looking for trouble, you usually find it
this time, at least, it's not catching you in a lie
no, this time its just inappropriate
time and time again your so called former friends show me little to no respect
and you've yet to correct this
I am your man, your lover, supposedly your one and only
this is not the way to show the world that
your exes are your past, and it is there they should stay
your friends should learn respect, or learn to walk
these are things i shouldn't have to tell you
they should come automatically
all this time i've spent with you
and still these problems arise
How much longer do you think i will deal with this?
Do you really think I will just sit back and accept this treatment?
No, that would be the move of a little boy
I remind you i am not a little boy
So if you will not do it
then all shall know the wrath of the Dragon

Ooooo! The wrath of Drako the Dragon! This is a great poem and another I can relate with. You have written on many things that relationships deal with. First the lose of respect, not only by friends, but by your partner who would not defend you when chivalry was called for. Exes...no more need said. And then the main thing in my opinion, the fact that there are things that are just common sense, things that your partner should very well know without being told. Wonderful poem, Drako. Your writing always seems to rile me up.:)
