goodnight to my heartache

goodbye sorrow

i'm leaving tomorrow

no amount of sweet words can heal

the pain i feel on the inside

don't write me sweet letters

don't call me on the phone

save your emails and text messages

this is too much to bear

don't want to meet again

this has got to be the end

this is a moment of clarity

i have to do for me

i cannot take the lies and deceit

the fighting and arguing

i'm leaving tomorrow

there's nothing more you can say

nothing you can do

the true you stands before me

and i hate what i see

the childishness, the immaturity

i love you

but at the same time i hate you

i have to leave you tomorrow

sorrow and heartache, goodbye

i'm leaving you

cannot meet again

this will be the end

the sun will finally shine on me

the clouds will drift away

there's something left in store for me

that's a brighter day

so i'm leaving tomorrow

This is amazing! I would love it if I could leave where I'm at and leave all my sadness, pain, depression behind for good. I've tried, but it always seems to find me no matter where I go. Another great write. :)

I love this poem, Drako. I have been there, in love with someone that could not have been more wrong for me and I had to make the hardest choice I have made in my life and that was to choose my own happiness. No matter how low I had become during and after the relationship I never forgot, never stopping believing that there would be a brighter day. I try to give that same hope to people, try to make them see that there will be a tomorrow. Incredible write and I wish I would have wrote this myself.:)
