Dark Rage Surfaces, Return to Myself

Dark Rage Surfaces, Return to Myself

A Poem by Drako

At this point, I just have one question
Is it true?
All this time, I’ve been with you and only you
But it seems you can’t say the same
So is it true
That I’m not the only one?
Is it true
That you’re just playing games with my heart?
If it is, then it wasn’t true when you told me you loved me
Love would keep you coming back to me and only me
Love wouldn’t allow you to wander
Love would’ve kept you at my side
Yet you try to convince me that he doesn’t mean anything
I’m not a stupid man
It’s an insult to my intelligence for you to use those words knowing what you’ve done
And I don’t take well to insults
Remember who you’re dealing with
I’m darker than any man you’ve ever known
I have a somewhat archaic logic
I believe in payback
An eye for an eye
And there will be hell to pay
Just ask those that came before you
I am not the man to screw over
You’ve unleashed a monster, a demon, the Dragon
And damn does it feel good
You have no idea what you’ve done, but you will know soon enough
