The All Loving Guava Tree in our courtyard. As a Guide, as a Motivator, or as the Father Figure, as the Majestic Being, or as an Angel... AND SO MUCH MORE!!!
...that I always looked up to!
Come to my Home, My Home Sweet Home, Where the land smells of homeliness, And the Sun rays get filtered through the leaves. The wet sand lies on the ground, Giving a scent of serenity, And within the courtyard of my home, Stands the majestic tree, Full of Life and Vibrations and Colours! See it through the eye-hole in the dilapidated door, Or go near and touch the trunk, Will find the same placidity scattered everywhere... That cools the body and soothes the mind, And today, All I wish is just a rewind...
impressions of the engrossed mind! NAYAN sometime around Sep-Oct in 2009, at my home Patna, Bihar, India
I feel your connection to nature, and want to reach out and touch the tree you have described and to sit in its shade...I feel a sense of peace...how wonderful it is to be in the presence of these wonderful trees feeling their protection.
you seem to be closely connected to nature and your land... your poem speaks volumes about it... the soothing and refreshing hues of trees and the fresh breeze is one of the most delightful things... this poem takes me years back when i lived in small town where my house was the best with its majestic scenic beauty, trees and pure bliss!!!
A powerful write. The feeling of belonging to a wonderful place, India, clearly reflects from each line...
"Where the land smells of homeliness,
And the Sun rays get filtered through the leaves.
The wet sand lies on the ground,"
Your poems bring back old moments from my life. It's so nostalgic and beautiful. The wet soil, sun rays getting filtered through the leaves are all so lovely. You have away with words and expressing your thoughts
