Do memories make a man?

Or, man makes memories?

 

How would you feel �"

If you get the same person,

But with no memory of

Who he was, who he is?

Can you accept him,

As the same one whom

You knew?

 

Or, how would you act �"

If you get a different person,

But with the memories

Of the one you knew?

Can you accept him then,

As the same one whom

You knew?

There is this distinct conflict between the body and the mind with which we recognize and identify a being. But then, there is this thought that lurks, which asks the question - Is this body the person? Is this mind the person?
