I Woke up in a MansionA Poem by Jayeeta BhattacharyaA Surrealist imagination.
I woke up in the Mansion ,cobwebs everywhere Lizards moving beside me Bigger than I could imagine "We get more more blood than you" they said. The dusty window pane showed Some abstract letters A Panasonic view outside.... A horse brown aged eating The yellow pasture He looked at me.A familiar face But I lied down.fatigued, poor soul! It was gone by the time I slept A black crow staring at me My soul.. The bird sitting on the dressing Table.captive as I am she was not much worried The crow was busy in her make up....some broken watch that Has stopped the time..... Time is still! The horse watching me A glorious skin, big neck, I felt horny_____ As I tried to see myself I lost the Mirror it was opaque. The crow laughed at me Looking at myself I wondered I was an old tree My bag has everything i needed Both in a symbiotic relationship The bag loved me. It has my heart ,a small kidney The breast full of milk I hugged the bag The crow took away my heart She laughed .I was inside the Old mansion The horse outside. The azure sky dirty, I tried to clean the mirror Alas it was not changed the Spiders woke one by one As night came... I ate the half eaten dinner The left over of the crow It shouted in joy She was so happy like a queen Without wings Me too without wings Nobody has. We are caged inside Fantasizing the brown horse A chauvinist animal! Free outside Seductions Desires Dejection Decorate the mansion.... Once a beauty now a witch nest. Captivity reminds us of What we could do...... Until death bell I kept waiting My soul inside the happy crow The spiders are marching towards me Captive within the cobweb unresolved. Time has stopped forever. Life waits for the last period. © 2020 Jayeeta Bhattacharya |
