ResurrectionA Poem by Jayeeta BhattacharyaOn my personal life which is universalResurrection Once I had been a human like you Now I prefer a snail’s life. Better as I am now A bit comfortable within The compass of death. Serene and silence everywhere All of them struggling To survive or going through An alternate process of Evaluation of humanity now Rectified, after poor Darwin. The long quiet meadows, The lonely pastures, Water flowing with the friends... Little creatures survive , The strongest fascist die! What a shame to mankind After all they ,who took me as dead, can't hurt me anymore. I have become a Snail one day My soft within no more A target for those vixen For the demons, I live as peaceful as dead under My shell of vanity. Empathy is what they deserve For their pride, their fearful traits So they are now on the way of Extinction, the human race With all their evils. The planet is ours We,the children of nature We those who are simpleton neglected, ignored by those Mammoths, now live in peaceful Solitary snail life...... © 2020 Jayeeta Bhattacharya |
