Jack Wears Black

Jack Wears Black

A Poem by Brenda Sue
"

For a contest, my first try at limerick.

"

There once was a fellow named Jack

Who dressed from head to toe in black

Bleach fell in the wash strong

Making Jack sing his song

"Dye me jeans, Dye me shirts, Mrs. Mac"

How catchy and humorous! I really liked the rhythm altogether, even though I do have a small suggestion.

Maybe you should reword "In the wash fell bleach strong." For some reason, it doesn't sound right and the flows kind of stumbles right here.

But besides that, I really enjoyed this limerick and this is really good for a first try.

Thanks for sharing. And congrats on winning the contest by the way!

How retro. Very clever. Reminds me of my ex doing my clothes.
