I Hear the Music...

A sonnet

I hear the music when I'm with you.  
Each time the melody sings anew,
Soon the golden notes of the band
Carries me away to another land.
 
As my imagination leaves me speechless,
The orchestra fades into the darkness.
When I remember the feel of your arms,
Soon I am captivated by your charms.  

I hear the music when we're together.
The melody grows for our pleasure,
I soar again, singing sheer bliss.  
As we share another sweet kiss.
 
The strings of the violin I hear
Magically every time you are near.

My fiance really loves music, so I wanted to write a piece that included music.

Music is the connection between time and space. Every time I hear a classic song, I remember what I was doing and my age at the time that song was popular-and I am almost sixty. It is the universal strand that holds the world together and makes the people in Australia connect to the people in Alaska.
