The Art of Making Southern Sweet Iced Tea

The Art of Making Southern Sweet Iced Tea

A Story by Brenda Sue
"

so many people tell me that they can not make tea

"

In a sauce pot put 6 cups of water on the stove to boil.

Just as it starts to boil, turn off the heat and add 3 family size tea bags to water.

Let tea bags steep for 3 to 5 minutes.

Remove tea bags and add one to two cups of sugar to hot water, stir to dissolve sugar.

Fill a one gallon pitcher half full with ice and pour hot sweet tea over ice, stir to melt ice.

Add enough cold water to fill pitcher full.

Serve in a tall glass with ice and add lemon to taste.

Always best when shared with family and friends.

This made me think about my mom. Thank you.

This brought back memories of her making tea and how great it always was. I am glad I came across this.
