My Rea-Sons for LIVING

My Rea-Sons for LIVING

A Poem by Brenda Sue

Hear their laughter
Coming down the hall

Feel their soft kisses
As hurrying out the door

See their beautiful faces
Smiling as you come home

Smell the nectar of parenthood
As you learn more than you teach

Taste the sweet success
When they have grown and left the Nest!

I love my children, they have been my whole life. I am also a foster parent and I have loved each child that has pass through my home. It is funny how they teach us more than we do them. I pray that I have given them something that will make or shape them into the best they can be.

I am not a parent but I actually almost started crying while I read your poem. I can't explain what touched me, maybe it was the visuals. All I know is my reaction to this poem. I can honestly say that I love this poem, I am not sure about that last line though, it is a powerful idea, that I love, but I am not sure about the words. I really like the title.
