SuccessA Poem by N. An
I once chanced upon the success’s gate
Curious for an end awaiting Either dismissal or its embrace held My Insides fairly turning Changing distinct shades upon my face, Pale dark, their similar blending Fear griped my neck, my chest tauten When I heard its echo pending My arrival it questioned, its purpose I swore To which was to seek its yearning? In wonder it laughed and further asked What I had for an honest earning? No words poured out at this but squeak, On which I heard it affirming I embrace not but who do believe, for faith touches me akin to sky And sun at dawn when mingling For it illuminates me with its endless might Fixing me for a happy ending! © 2011 N.
