NUN OF ST. CECILIA

NUN OF ST. CECILIA

A Poem by Uche Paul
"

Unveils a man convincing a nun to abandon her habit and ally with him, perhaps, because he met her before God did.

"
How wilt thou embrace eternal singleness
And shut thyself out of cupid's shade
By true sense and admirers' bait,
But traps thy purity within thy cell
In false believe of ease of flee into the Pearly Gates
When darkness reigns as sun be no more,
But the mischief of Gog and the Magog:
Whom, as the sand of the sea shore,
Will encompass the City and battle those beloved
As sermoned on the moor by that monk of St. Paul.

Know ye not love to piety homage solely pays
Hath wholly Lost some buds of delightful taste?
Yet, Love as love in every sense is still of God
If it be true and outwits lust.

Oh St. Cecilia, reverse this chosen path of singleness,
And mind my mind & save this fainting breath.

I don't think I've had to do so much research to understand a piece of writing before. You certainly have an interest in religion, scripture, and asking questions bridging between mans desire and God's will. Keep seeking, you will find the truth. Keep writing, more people should be pondering these thoughts. Thanks for the history/theological lesson and the interesting poem.

You seems to be religious, and, if so, your religion is obvious, based on your:"I beg to differ " and the" yes I agree " .. Lolz... Our NUN, of course, might be free if she follows her heart, but then, good things are not always recognized at first sight and a little light of conviction on the alternative state of life(matrimony), might also do our NUN more good than harm. Don't you see it that way? Hahaha... Thanks for your cool and sincere review., You've always been sincere, and that makes ur reviews invaluable and worthwhile. Thanks a million!

Ahh 'of false belief of ease of flee into the pearly gates!'-
I beg to differ.

Yet love is of GOD - yes I agree

True love gives leave for true freedom, our Nun will only be free if she follows her heart.

I like the Way you write Paul Uche. Thumbs up to you.
