Somewhere I belong

Somewhere I belong

A Poem by Bliss.x

Trying to work out where I went wrong,
Searching for somewhere I belong,

Get in my car and drive for miles,
They'll soon come looking after a while

Not sure how much more I can hack
I cant wait to get my life back on track

Sick of feeling like I don't fit
But I'm too strong to let myself quit

So ill act like I'm fine when I get home tonight
I'll smile, make small talk and be polite

If only they saw me when the door has closed
it takes all my strength to stay composed

So ill keep looking forward, it won't be long
Until I find somewhere I belong

It can be very hard and very soul destroying to keep up an act - to wear the mask for everyone day after day and then flop out exhausted when we get home and cry with the world is locked outside. We require a balance - it may be that we need to start to say no to people who take advantage of us or just have more me time doing things we enjoy - even get a new circle of friends who will accept you for YOU.
Writing is one outlet and I for one am glad you write.
