Old Friend

Old Friend

A Story by Dove
"

For my cousin Jeremy

"
A hooded figure catches my eye
I watched as it crossed my path
Millions of memories I began to tie
Once I saw his face in its wrath
Curiosity and temptation
Made me wonder and twitch
Clouded with frustration
I then decided to ditch
I walked fast paced
I simply had to know
After him I chased
But space began to grow
I couldn't say his name
I wasn't sure it was him
But curiosity isn't tame
Neither was the ambition coming from him
Quickly down the hallway
Past the swinging doors
He acted like it was Doomsday
But my legs began to get sore
He whipped around the corner
disappearing from sight
