When I am aloneA Poem by DoveA poem about hiding miseryI sit still in my seat and keep my mouth shut I look around, but I don't say a word Some people come close, then the silence is cut But tears form in my eyes and my vision is blurred I will always say,"I prefer to be alone." or "I'm shy", "I'm quiet", "I wanna go home" But deep down inside I wish I could disappear But I can't show them that so I smile ear to ear As long as I'm with them, everything appears fine But as the day comes to an end, I run out of time Into the emptiness, my mind is thrown This is only just what happens when I am alone
